Engineered with Foundryman - for Foundries
About Newform & David
Newform is a worldwide supplier of high-performance, mica-based insulation materials for coreless induction coil furnaces and other applications. Our flagship products – Combi G and Foil G – were developed in close cooperation with foundries to solve practical challenges, serving as a slip-plane: diffusion barrier, protection of the coil grout, enabling safe refractory removal, and supporting long-term use of the thermal insulation (refractory).
David S. Gower is the CEO and founder behind Newform - an engineer with over 40 years of hands-on industry experience, deep technical expertise and a strong global network. David has shaped Newform into a responsive, trusted partner - combining agile delivery with personal, solution-oriented support.

Expert Help for Coil Protection
We’re here to support you - before, during, and after installation. At Newform, you don’t just receive high-quality mica insulation materials - you gain access to expert guidance and personal support every step of the way. Whether it’s product selection, application advice, or technical follow-up, we’re ready to assist you with reliable, customized service.
Foil G is recommended for smooth-walled coreless induction coil furnaces <2 tons. Combi G, with its thicker structure (2mm CASi-paper), is better suited for larger furnaces with uneven concrete surfaces. We are happy to help you determine the best fit based on your operating conditions.
Yes. Newform insulation materials are flexible, cold-formable, and easy to install - making them suitable for the wide range of coil and crucible geometries. Foil G is ideal for smooth surfaces, while Combi G compensates for uneven wall structures and is well-suited for furnaces larger than 2ton.
The slip-plane effect is created by placing a mica-based insulation layer between the coil grout and the (sinthered) refractory lining. This safety slip-plane and diffusion barrier allows it to be pushed out easily during replacement. This reduces mechanical stress on the coil, extends usetime and significantly shortens relining-work.
Newform supplies mica-based insulation materials to foundries and furnace manufacturers worldwide (proficient in English, German, French, etc.).
Our products are in use across Europe (Finnland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France and others), North America (USA, Canada, Mexico), Asia (India, Japan, South Korea and others), South America (Brazil, Argentina and others), Africa (South Africa, Egypt and others), and the Middle East (Turkey, UAE and others).
Together with distribution partners and technical contacts in every continent, we ensure rapid lead-times as well as application support wherever our customers operate.
